What is post-editing?

Post-editing involves a human translator making the necessary corrections to a text that has been pre-translated by an automatic translation tool. You are required to correct faults in spelling and syntax, and to check for any translation errors (wrong meaning for the context, mistranslation, lack of meaning). The post-edited text must be clear and understandable in the target language.
